Dr Jana de Boniface talks to ecancer at ASCO 2026 on the final results of the SENOMAC trial in patients with clinically node-negative breast cancer and one to two sentinel lymph node macrometastases.
The study found that omission of completion axillary lymph node dissection after a positive sentinel lymph node biopsy is oncologically safe and mitigates postoperative patient-reported arm-related morbidity.
