The burden of infections in patients with cancer in Sub-Saharan Africa

Dr Margaret Lubwama speaks to ecancer about her talk on 'The burden of infections in patients with cancer in Sub-Saharan Africa'.

She begins by explaining that she focusses on bacterial infections with the most prevalent being E.coli and klebsiella which are multi-drug resistant.

Dr Lubwama believes that there is a great need for better access to antibiotics and better inclusion of the management of infections diseases in patients who also have cancer.
